Photo Friday - SF Cityscapes

It's Photo Friday, which means time to share some pics of my favorite running city. Take a look to find out why I love to live and train in San Francisco!

The Sunset District, where I work and play!
An Inner Sunset hidden gem is Grand View Park at 14th Avenue between Moraga and Noriega Streets. Climb the steps to the hilltop park for expansive views of my daily training grounds: Golden Gate Park, the Sunset District, and Ocean Beach.

The Painted Ladies
Take a trip over to Alamo Square in NOPA (at Steiner and Hayes Streets) for great views of the city a la Full House (my favorite TV show in elementary school!). Alamo Square is also home to the Hayes Street Hill of Bay to Breakers fame - that hill sure kicked my butt during the 12K this spring! Thankfully, after you reach the top, the rest of the race is downhill to the ocean!

Dolores Park in the Mission
Looking to escape SF's unrelenting fog? Head to the always-sunny Mission District and spend the day at Dolores Park. Just steps from BiRite Ice Cream, Dolores is a perfect post-run destination!

Happy weekend - hope everyone enjoys watching the ING NYC Marathon on Sunday!
Run joyfully!
